The Donna Vessel series is a collaborative work with .
Inspired by the experience, form, and work of women all around us. It is a vivid and intimate embrace of the beautiful and unique folds and bends of women's bodies.
The leather stem sleeve is made of European vegetable tanned leather compressed to a hard wood like state and handsculpted until they create beautiful gentle curves that are deceptively rigid and structured. Closed with handmade brass nails and finished with a natural beeswax.
The base is hand thrown terracotta with glazed interior for water proofing.
Can be used together or separately.
Each piece is made upon order and is unique in all ways. There are natural variations in shape, color, and size. The leather will patina to a honey tone over time. Can be conditioned with leather conditioner or beeswax.
